AndroidCommunity Hands-On With Sprint Kyocera Echo

Our sister-site, AndroidCommunity has managed to get their hands-on the Sprint Kyocera Echo. The device was revealed early this year by the magician, David Blaine. It support dual-screen and powered with Google’s mobile OS.

The Echo reminds me with the NintendoDS on many aspects such as its form factor and dual screen stack on top each other. It’s a heavy phone according to Chris Burn (AC editor). For further details you can head to AC immediately.

Sprint Kyocera Echo Will Launch On April 17th

The first dual screen android phone was revealed last month during MWC 2011. The Kyocera Echo is heading to Sprint. Now the handset confirmed to be ship next month and to be exact on April 17th. The Echo will cost you $199 with a two-years contract with Sprint.

Its design remind one with Nintendo DS Lite. You can fold it into two 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreens and placed it on your pocket just like any other smartphone. Featuring a 5MP camera with flash, autofocus and digital zoom, 720p HD video, Stereo Bluetooth 2.1, and external microSD card slot. The Echo capable to support up to five devices on its WiFi hotspot. It runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo). You can starts pre-order on March 26th.

Fujitsu Revealed Their Dual-Screen Android Phone

It was Kyocera who started the whole deal with dual-screen during the Mobile World Congress 2011. And now, Fujitsu is also revealing their own dual-screen handset. Unlike Kyocera, Fujitsu dual-touchscreen comes in a portait vibe … with “options.”

The device was put on display on Fujitsu’s booth at MWC 2011. The prototype have dual swivel screens, making for portrait, landscape, or a little of both. Currently the prototype is running Symbian but when the the device launch, it will runs with Android. The device will be launch in summer or fall.

SlashGear Hands-on Sprint Kyocera Echo

Our sister site, SlashGear has managed to get a closer look on Sprint dual screen android smartphone. The Echo was announced recently in New York. Running Android 2.2.1 (Froyo), it sports a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon processor.

Kyocera Echo Full Specs And Video

Previously, we have just mention the device avaibility and pricing along with a little details on its functions. And now, we are looking at full specs and more details to have a closer look on the Echo. Sadly, the device only running with Android 2.2 (Froyo) rather than Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The device can be used in several mode: single screen, laptop mode, or fullscreen tablet mode.

The device will features a 1 GHz snapdragon processor, and each of the 3.5 inch screens are WVGA. The Echo have more features for different used on the both screen functionality. You can text on the top, email on bottom, Twitter on top, Facebook on bottom. You can search and watch video at the same times using Youtube apps called YouQueue. Check out the video below.
