ASUS Introduces P565 PDA Phone with Fastest Mobile CPU

ASUS has introduced the ASUS P565, a business PDA phone that boasts an 800 MHz processor. Featuring ASUS’ latest touch-driven user interface called Glide UI, the P565 comes with a 2.8″ touchscreen running at a high resolution of 480 x 640 pixels, 3 megapixel camera, built in GPS, WiFi and support HSDPA data connection. The fast processor renders the P565 particularly amenable to multitasking, while Glide enables users to switch between tasks rapidly with their fingertips. The P565 also comes with a potent suite of business-oriented features and software, including push mail, business card recognition and Microsoft Office Mobile. Asus Android Smartphone Available in 2009

According to a report on digitimes today, Asustek (Asus) is planning to launch its Android smartphone in 2009 next year. The company plan to announce the phone in the first half of 2009 and it will target the Taiwan market first before selling it to other regions.

Rumor: Asus Glaxy7 in the work?

From Apple iPhone to HTC Touch and Samsung Omnia, it is not surprise that more manufacturer will release their full touch screen phone. Asus is said to be preparing their new Asus Glaxy7, a new Windows Mobile smartphone with a 3.5-inch touch screen. Comes with their own Glide UI, Asus Glaxy7 has the same resolution (480 x 800, WVGA) as HTC Touch HD, though both will still be restricted to 65k colors due to the OS. Other than 6 shortcut buttons below the display screen, a track ball design can be seen from the leaked picture below.

ASUS Launches P552w Touch Phone with Glide UI

ASUS has launched the ASUS P552w PDA phone which features Glide - a new touch user interface developed by Asus and consist of Asus Today, Anytime Launcher, EziPhoto and EziMusic. The ASUS P552w boasts one of the most powerful CPUs (624MHz) on the market today. It also features 3.5G HSDPA (3.6Mbps) connectivity for fast Internet browsing, file sharing and TV program-streaming experience possible. Furthermore, it offers Bluetooth, WLAN 802.11b/g, GPS, USB and other connectivity standards to enable easy data transfers to and from other devices.

The ASUS P552w will come pre-installed with the Google Maps and a ASUS SMS Location Link software. Users at two different locations can locate each other easily by sending each other SMS messages. Clicking on the URLs which are automatically embedded in the sent messages will link the phones up to Google Maps, which will then provide the users with clear directions on how to get to each other’s positions.

EziPhoto enables users to flip through their photo collection with their fingertips, akin to how they would with a real album.
