Facebook Launches Free Mobile Access with 50 Operators
If you are one of the mobile service subscribers from the 50 operators in 45 countries below, you will be able to access 0.facebook.com mobile site for free. Your data usage will not be charged for the mobile site, although you have to be careful when you view photo or click on an external URL link. A notification message will be popped out when you are leaving the o.facebook.com to other site. This will be useful to prevent data usage charges on your bill.
Other than the initial 50 operators, the company has also planned to bring the free access to the following countries soon: Telstra in Australia, Movistar in El Salvador, SFR in France, XL in Indonesia, DiGi in Malaysia, Telecom NZ in New Zealand, SMART in the Philippines, Vodafone in Qatar, Digicel in Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, 3 in the UK, and MTN in Cameroon and Guinea Conakry.
