T-Mobile Rolls Out Android 1.5 Cupcake

Finally, T-Mobile G1 users in US are now start getting Android 1.5 Cupcake over the air updates. The new Android 1.5 is bringing few improvements and adding a soft QWERTY keyboard to allow text input via the touch screen. It will also add the ability to upload photo / video directly to Picasa and YouTube from the G1.

Verizon Wireless Announces LG enV3, enV Touch and LG Glance

Verizon Wireless and LG Mobile Phones are introducing three hot new phones, just in time for summer. LG enV3 is available Friday, while LG enV TOUCH and LG Glance will be available June 5 at all Verizon Wireless Communications Stores. Both the LG enV3 and enV Touch have a clamshell body with a QWERTY keyboard, microSD card slot and support visual voice mail. The enV Touch has two 3-inch size display screen, the external screen is also a full touch screen for touch input. There is a 3.2 megapixel camera on the enV Touch, while the LG enV3 has a 3 megapixel camera. The third LG phone, the LG Glance, is a candybar fashion phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera.

You can purchase LG enV3 for $129.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. LG enV TOUCH will be available for $149.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. PlayNow arena with movies brings feature films to mobile phones

Sony Ericsson today strengthens its commitment to providing unique entertainment experiences on the mobile handset with the launch of PlayNow arena with movies, the latest addition to the PlayNow arena content delivery platform.

PlayNow arena with movies is a bundled movie service from Sony Ericsson, included out-of-the-box for selected handsets, allowing consumers to watch up to 60 movies a year on their mobile phone. Optimised to give consumers the best possible viewing experience, users can choose from a selection of around 15 movies at any one time, with additional titles being added to the catalogue each month. After ‘side loading’ feature length films onto your phone, you can watch them as often as you like for up to 90 days.

PlayNow arena with movies will make its debut with the W995 Walkman, launching in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK from June 2009. Additionally the service will also be made available on upcoming phones such as Satio and Aino which were also announced today.

Pioneer Announces Availability of AV Receivers for iPhone and iPod

Pioneer announced that it is now shipping A/V Receivers that integrate Apple’s iPhone and iPod into a customer’s home theatre. Pioneer’s VSX-819AH, VSX-919AH and VSX-1019AH A/V receivers and also feature proprietary technologies designed to restore compressed audio data and recreate the dynamic listening experiences intended by the original musician.

Pioneer A/V Receivers are part of the “Works with iPhone” and “Made for iPod” program and feature a seamless user experience for iPhone and iPod owners. The new line of receivers allow consumers to simply plug their iPhone or iPod to the A/V receiver and utilize a full-color graphic user interface (GUI) complete with album art, utilize a central remote control option to easily navigate through playlists. The A/V receivers will intuitively turn on the Auto Music-Mute function when a call is received on an iPhone, allowing home audiences to maintain an uninterrupted entertainment experience.

Pioneer’s A/V Receivers are available now at Best Buy and other national and regional retailers nationwide for suggested retail prices that range from $299 - $499.
