Rumor: New Motorola Blaze for Verizon Wireless

Just when you thought Motorola Ming is only for Asia countries, Motorola Blaze has been leaked on BGR blog with the similar design. According to the source, it is running on a custom OS, comes with a full touch screen like Motorola Ming.

The Motorola Blaze will support EV-DO Rev. A data network. Other features include a 2 megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth and Haptic feedback when you press the touch screen. No information on the release date for the time being.

Sony Ericsson Issues Warning on its sales and profit in Q2 2008

Sony Ericsson net sales and net income before taxes in the second quarter of 2008 continue to be negatively affected by moderating demand of mid-to-high end mobile phones, in combination with a delay of new products shipped during the quarter.

Although final results may differ, Sony Ericsson plans to ship approximately 24 million phones during the second quarter of 2008 with an estimated ASP (Average Selling Price) of EUR 115. Gross margin is expected to decline both year over year and sequentially. Net income before taxes is estimated to be about break-even. Sony Ericsson plans to announce the second quarter 2008 financial results on July 18 at 7:30 am UK time/8:30 am CET.

Nokia N96 Flash Demonstrations is Online

Want to know more about the Nokia N96? Nokia has just put up the flash demonstration on its website, with demonstration on its hardware and software usage. The upcoming Nokia N96 will be available in this quarter, it is in dual-slide design and comes with a 2.8″ screen, 16 gigabytes of internal memory and support for high-quality videos in a wide range of formats.

The Nokia N96 boasts a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, flash and video light. It allows DVD-like quality video capture at 30 frames per second. Further, with the integrated A-GPS, consumers can now ‘geotag’ their pictures with location data and share them with their online communities. When available, it will be sold at around 550 euro. The price will be different depends on your mobile service provider and contract plan.
