Philips X800 Got FCC Approved

More details of the Philips X800 touch screen phone is now available at FCC document list today. Early of this month the report said that this X800 will feature e2e design, meaning a full edge to edge touch screen design that will occupy the whole width on the front body. Though you can’t really see how they apply that to the phone in the FCC picture.

The Philips X800 features a full touch screen for you to navigate through lists and menus. The touch screen is operated with a stylus pen located at the side of the phone. Use the stylus pen to tap once or twice on any available screen zone to carry out the corresponding operations (such as menu page header, menu items, lists, softkeys, options menu, function keys, text input area, selection area, pull-down menu box, selection box, etc).

The user manual also reveals its battery life. As stated in the rumor, the X800 has a long battery life. You can make phone calls continuously for 10 hours, or have the phone in standby mode up to 1 month. The battery can be easily filled up in 2.5 hours time through a USB cable.

Virgin Mobile USA “Up the Ante” with Virgin Mobile Festival Special Edition Wild Card

Nokia 7310 SuperNova On Sale in Taiwan and China

You can now find an unannounced model, the Nokia 7310, at some mobile phone retail shops in Taiwan and China. Not a high end model, the Nokia 7310 is tagged with a SuperNova branding. Is SuperNova the next fashion phone series from Nokia?

The Nokia 7310 is using the S40 user interface, it does not support 3G or HSDPA but built in with a 2 megapixel camera, music player, bluetooth and support EDGE/GPRS data connection. The LCD screen is crafted with mirror effect, definitely an essential tool for ladies. Although you only get a 20MB built in memory for your music files, the microSD card slot is available and support up to 4GB memory card. Alternatively, the built in FM Radio receiver will fill up your entertainment needs on the road.

Nova Media Releases FoneLink 2.0 for Mac OS

Nova Media announces the new FoneLink 2.0, which is a cell phone suite offers a familiar Mac-like solution to exchange files, synchronize data, manage SMS text messages and to backup and restore cell phone contents.

FoneLink supports drag and drop throughout its new user interface and offers an activity monitor to display current and cued actions. The improved sync-manager now includes built-in support for Apple’s Sync Services technology to sync with Entourage, iCal and Address Book along with other Sync Services-savvy applications.

FoneLink can automatically convert music, videos and photos on a Mac to formats that are instantly viewable and playable on the cell phone. iTunes playlists can be synchronized and a ringtone editor allows the creation of individual ringtones from any compatible music file.

Last but not least, FoneLink has the ability to create a comprehensive backup of a cell phone’s data in the background. If the mobile phone or its data gets lost or damaged, you can restore your data files using drag and drop, or to restore a comprehensive backup using the restore command.

FoneLink 2.0 is a free update. It requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later and is priced at Euro 39,95 (US-$ 39,95 for customers in the US and Canada).
